Sr Mgr aI Decision Science & Engagement
Position Overview:
As a strategic thought leader in data analytics within the Marketing POD, you will be instrumental in shaping the direction of marketing initiatives by providing key business insights and decision support. Engaging closely with the Marketing VP/GM, you will identify and prioritize business needs that require ongoing analytical support. Your role will involve reviewing existing data solutions from aI Enterprise Business Intelligence, aI Advanced Analytics and Data Science, and aI Human Truths to extract meaningful insights and support key business decisions. You will run simulations and war-games to evaluate potential business outcomes, identify risks and opportunities, and present findings in an accessible manner. Additionally, you will influence data practitioners to enhance their products and play a leadership role in training the Marketing POD on analytics solutions. As a role model for BCH Leadership Behaviors, you will empower others, maintain transparent communication, and provide feedback for growth and development.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role, Sr Mgr aI Decision Science & Engagement, are to:
- Be a strategic thought leader and sparring partner on data analytics within Marketing POD;
- Engage with Marketing VP/GM to identify key business priorities requiring decision support;
- Review existing data products and extract meaningful business insights;
- Run simulations and war-games for key business priorities;
- Identify business risks and opportunities based on goals and constraints;
- Present findings and next-best actions in simple, easy-to-understand ways;
- Influence data practitioners to update/upgrade their products to meet emerging needs;
- Play a leadership role in training the Marketing POD on key analytics solutions;
- Role model BCH Leadership Behaviors, demonstrating business acumen and learning agility.
WHO YOU ARE
Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:
Required Qualifications:
- B.S./B.A. degree in Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Engineering, or Business/Marketing or related degree;
- Proven track record of solving complex business problems using data;
- Expertise with syndicated market data;
- Working knowledge of BI/OLAP platforms and solutions;
- Strong communication skills to convey complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders;
- Ability to work effectively in a matrixed organization;
- Fit to Win competencies: Builds effective teams, cultivates innovation, customer focus, drives results, collaborates globally and locally, plans & aligns, drives stakeholder engagement.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience in OTC healthcare and/or consumer packaged goods;
- Experience at a Tier 1 Management Consulting firm;
- Experience with scenario planning, war-gaming, optimization techniques;
- Financial acumen: Excellent financial management skills for strategic goals and ROI improvement;
- Exceptional knowledge of retailer landscape and market impact;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills;
- Proven negotiation skills with customer interactions.
