Applied Pathology Senior Scientist
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role, Applied Pathology Senior Scientist, are to:
- Establish disease package testing strategy including both high throughput phenotyping and trait genetics;
- Enable data readiness and data fluency for predictive breeding of disease traits;
- Portfolio management for emerging disease testing and plant health product concept development;
- Apply scientific principles to solve complex scientific problems and exploit new science and technology developments;
- Lead cross-functional project teams and complex proof-of-concept experiments for new bioassay implementation and harmonization.

Required Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Plant Pathology or related field with 5 or more years of experience OR Master's degree with 10 or more years of experience;
- Strong technical experience in disease assays, protocol development and disease diagnostics;
- Knowledge of pathogen and pest systems;
- Background in experimental design and statistics;
- Ability to work effectively on cross-functional teams;
- Outstanding organizational skills, results orientation and ability to balance multiple tasks and meet deadlines;
- Effective problem solving and proven initiative;
- Fluent in business English (written and verbal).
Domestic relocation may be available for this role.

Position will be based in Woodland, CA.
Position may include opportunity to work remotely up to 50%.
