Medical Scientific Liaison in Oncology 

 

About the Role:

Join our dynamic team at Bayer as a Medical Scientific Liaison (MSL) specializing in oncology with a focus on prostate cancer. In this pivotal role, you will act as a scientific expert, bridging Bayer and the medical community by disseminating and educating on scientific data and materials. You will establish and nurture long-term strategic relationships with key physicians, scientists, and stakeholders, ensuring access to relevant scientific information and facilitating the sharing of pertinent insights with the medical community.

 

Your role and responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement TL (Thought Leader) engagement strategies to drive medical strategy and align with Bayer’s interests and the broader medical community.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to TL engagement, staying abreast of the latest scientific research and market trends.
  • Foster strong partnerships across MSL territories, acting as a trusted advisor to achieve win-win outcomes.
  • Generate insights on unmet medical needs and communicate these to cross-functional teams to inform strategy.
  • Lead the implementation of projects, symposia, and educational forums to engage TLs and support Bayer’s medical and brand strategy.
  • Support clinical trial teams and facilitate evidence generation aligned with strategic goals.

 

Work Relations:

  • Internal: Collaborate with Medical Advisors, Clinical Operations, Market Access, Sales and Marketing, Legal, Regulatory, and Compliance teams.
  • External: Engage with TLs, HCPs, Medical Societies, Payers, and Formulary Committees.

 

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in medicine, natural sciences, or pharmacology.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical/pharmaceutical field for MSL
  • Basic knowledge of therapeutic area products is essential.
  • Proven ability to develop strategies and gain support from stakeholders.
  • Experience in leading projects and organizing scientific engagement platforms.
  • Proficient in using digital technology for communication and data analysis.
