Clinical Key Relations Lead EMEA (all genders) 

 

The Clinical Key Relations Lead establishes and maintains strategic trust-based relationships with clinical sites to accelerate study start-up and conduct. This role drives local implementation of global key-relations strategies, co-creates engagement and retention approaches for site networks, and ensures seamless cross-functional collaboration to deliver an outstanding investigator and site experience.

 

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Site Relationship Management
    • Build and sustain strong, collaborative relationships with clinical key accounts to ensure smooth operations and effective communication.
    • Act as the primary alliance contact to build and expand a clinical site network that enables faster study conduct.
  • Engagement & Retention
    • Design and recommend approaches to engage and retain site participation across the lifecycle of a study, with specific focus on non-key sites.
    • Develop study planning frameworks across the portfolio to support stable site engagement.
    • Provide the site network with timely knowledge and awareness of current and upcoming clinical trials.
    • Create and maintain a long-term collaboration roadmap for sites.
  • Strategy Implementation
    • Localize and drive implementation of global key-relations strategies that position Bayer as partner-of-choice.
    • Translate global priorities into actionable local plans with measurable outcomes.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Collaborate closely with Clinical Customer Centricity, Medical Affairs, Clinical Operations and other internal functions to ensure alignment and a high-quality customer experience.
    • Serve as a coordinated point of contact for sites where applicable.
  • Feedback Acquisition & Channeling
    • Gather and synthesize feedback on protocol and study design drafts from sites; ensure timely transmission to clinical project teams.
    • Report site-level insights and recommendations to clinical operations to inform ongoing study management and optimization.
  • Contracting Support
    • Support contracting activities and help establish broad frameworks with key sites/networks that enable rapid study start-up.
  • Knowledge Sharing
    • Enable knowledge flows and best-practice exchange between Bayer and sites, and facilitate cross-site learning via other Clinical Key Relations leads.

 

WHO YOU ARE

 

  • Master’s degree or a PhD in Medicine or Life Sciences
  • Significant years of professional experience in the healthcare industry, preferably with site-facing or relationship-management roles in pharma
  • TA-agnostic capability to serve as a first-line scientific and alliance contact without requiring deep domain-specific expertise
  • Strong ability to analyze and anticipate site needs and to design superior customer experiences
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to explain complex scientific and operational topics clearly and simply
  • Proven track record of developing long-term collaboration strategies and maintaining trusted relationships with key site personnel
  • Skilled at partnering with internal and external stakeholders without direct hierarchical authority; comfortable making accountable decisions
  • Demonstrated leadership in a matrix organization, with experience driving change and delivering results; embodiment of VACC leadership behaviors
  • Fluent in English, additional language skills is an advantage
