Internship Cell Biology & Chemical Proteomics (All Genders) 

 

Do you want to contribute to developing medicines to treat patients with unmet medical needs? Within our ongoing projects, we offer committed students the opportunity to gain practical experience and to implement the specialist knowledge they have acquired during their studies in an innovative, future-oriented area. 

 

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • You work in an exciting and technology-oriented proteomics lab supporting early drug discovery projects relevant for the company’s current portfolio 
  • You support target deconvolution and mode-of-action elucidation studies by development of cellular assays and workflows
  • You gain insights into mass spectrometry (MS)-based proteomics, and learn how to use automated sample handling equipment
  • You will contribute to the establishment and adaption of new chemoproteomics protocols
  •  You will interact/collaborate with internal scientific teams within drug discovery

WHO YOU ARE

  • You have completed your bachelor’s degree and are currently enrolled at a M.Sc. program in courses like chemical biology, cell biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, or analytical chemistry
  • You bring initial laboratory experience in standard mammalian cell culture, mass spectrometry-based bottom-up proteomics and/or chemoproteomics
  • Experience with gel electrophoresis, gel imaging, photo-affinity labeling, and pulldowns is a plus
  • Experience with search engines for processing DDA and/or DIA data is a plus
  • Experience with data analysis and basic plotting in Perseus, R or Python is a plus
  • Experience with lab automation is a plus

 

This position is a 6-month fixed-term internship starting on 1st September 2025, with the option to start earlier (not later than November 2025). We look forward to your complete online application, including your CV and transcripts of record.
