Regulatory Toxicologist Industrial Chemicals (m/f/d) 

 

 

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Global responsibility for toxicological hazard, risk assessment and derivation of exposure limits for chemicals in the context of REACH as well as health-based limit values (PDEs) in the context of the EMA guideline
  • Set up health-based exposure limits for use in risk identification in the manufacture of different medicinal products
  • Develop integrated test strategies to characterize the safety profile of substances in the frame of different regulatory requirements
  • Scientifically monitor different types of toxicological in vitro and in vivo studies conducted at CROs
  • Interact with competent authorities in different regulatory processes (e.g. ECHA)
  • Provide scientific peer review and ensure high quality scientific rigor

 

WHO YOU ARE

 

  • University degree in medicine, veterinary medicine, pharmacy, chemistry or natural sciences, preferably Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent and extensive professional and academic experience
  • Experience in toxicological evaluation of industrial chemicals in the context of REACH and with the development of integrated strategies to characterize substances for different regulatory processes and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Experience with development of integrated strategies to characterize substances for different regulatory processes and ensure regulatory compliance as well as in-depth understanding how regulatory requirements influence the strategy to ensure that all requirements are met
  • Proven experience in working relationships with external partners and in collaborations as well as strong organizational skills
  • Customer-oriented work style, ability to analyze complex, high quantity and sometimes contradictory information
  • Ability to effectively manage projects and solve problems along with excellent networking skills and willingness to evolve in changing environments
  • Competence to structure and to steer complex processes and to align with multiple stakeholders and stakeholder levels
  • Fluent in English, both verbal and written along with strong presentation skills

 

This position is locoated in Wuppertal-Aprath or Berlin.
