Bench Scientist New Modalities (all genders)
As a Bench Scientist in LC-MS bioanalysis, you drive innovative bioanalytical solutions in research projects, particularly for complex analytes such as peptides or oligonucleotides. You develop and establish state-of-the-art bioanalytical strategies, conduct analyses, and share your expertise by training colleagues. Acting as a key interface between the laboratory and scientists, you contribute your expertise to interdisciplinary project teams and support the planning, evaluation, and review of studies. You also actively shape the technical advancement of the department in this field.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- You independently develop sensitive and complex analytical methods for the quantification of drugs in biological matrices and validate them as required, with a strong focus on peptides and siRNA
- You continuously advance analytical methods for these modalities
- You perform measurements using high-resolution mass spectrometry (HRMS) or triple quadrupole MS and independently evaluate the results
- You set up new, innovative analytical techniques, establish them in the laboratory, and implement automation concepts, including continuous improvement
- You independently ensure the functionality of the laboratory infrastructure and plan the required resources
- You represent bioanalytics in interdisciplinary project teams
WHO YOU ARE
- You hold a Master’s degree or PhD in a natural science discipline, e.g., biochemistry, analytical chemistry, or a comparable field
- You have in-depth experience in LC- HRMS
- You bring knowledge of nano- and microflow HPLC applications
- Ideally, you have gained initial experience in research and development
- You have hands-on experience in establishing and optimizing analytical methods
- You critically assess your scientific results in project and portfolio contexts and present them convincingly
- You have a strong understanding of the significance of results within your area of responsibility and communicate them with the highest integrity
- You demonstrate a high level of self-motivation and teamwork and work confidently and effectively in interdisciplinary environments
- Fluency in German and English completes your profile
