Main Purpose
The Logistics & Inventory Specialist is responsible for the efficient and safe operation of finished goods and raw material warehouses at the Zárate Gly and Core sites. Key duties include ensuring material availability, coordinating operational shifts, managing physical and system inventories, leading audits, and implementing Lean Manufacturing practices. The role also involves training warehouse teams, standardizing processes, and promoting a culture of logistics excellence.
Your mission will be to
- Coordinate and supervise daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, and dispatch activities.
- Manage and control both physical and system-based inventory, ensuring accuracy and full traceability.
- Develop and track operational KPIs to measure and sustain high performance within the logistics operations team.
- Plan and coordinate work shifts, ensuring proper coverage, operational efficiency, and achievement of daily and weekly targets.
- Lead and execute internal and external audits, ensuring full compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
- Ensure implementation and continuous update of area-specific procedures and management documentation.
- Analyze key logistics KPIs (OTIF, inventory accuracy, turnover ratio, productivity) and provide performance reports to support decision-making.
- Identify improvement opportunities and lead projects focused on waste reduction and cost optimization.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing tools (5S, Focused Improvement, Team Development, Kanban, Kaizen, SMED) in warehouse operations and train personnel with support from the regional team.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, facilitating training sessions and team engagement activities.
- Coordinate with other departments (Procurement, Production, Quality) to ensure a seamless flow of materials and finished products.
- Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and quality standards in all logistics operations.
Unlock your potential
- University or technical degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: 4-5 years of experience in logistics operations, warehouse management, or inventory control.
- Proven experience managing labor union relationships.
- Experience leading operational teams and managing work shifts.
- Background in implementing continuous improvement projects.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience in managing logistics performance
indicators (KPIs).
