Key Account Manager WCA
Job Summary:
- Plans and implements sales strategies for specific major accounts, cultivating relationships and identifying opportunities through medium to long-term planning.
- Develops medium to long-range sales plans and prepares strategies to protect, grow, and diversify major accounts while meeting sales targets across the full line of products or combinations of products.
- Establishes and builds strong client relationships over time
to ensure continuity and ongoing representation, supported by sales delivery programs and communication with relevant organizational
functions and divisions. - Collaborates with other key account managers and sales management to develop sales strategies, helping to identify
target accounts and opportunities within the organization-wide strategy. - Monitors competitive activity within each account and ensures that appropriate response strategies are formulated and communicated
Job Purpose:
- Provide best in class key account management to Bayer distributers across WCA through effective forecasting, deal coordination, problem resolution and account services to ensure a mutually beneficial relationship and increased channel loyalty to Bayer.
- Drive Seeds sell in with key accounts while liaising with squad to coordinate sell out and support of key agents.
- Ensure distributors provide accurate and timely data on sell-out and channel inventory as required by Bayer
- Monitor and analyze sell in, sell out and channel inventory information to devise strategies for effective channel management
- Define and implement key account strategy for distributor incorporating the distributer program to grow Bayer share of wallet.
- Build strong business relationships with key people within the Distributors

Major tasks and responsibilities of position:
- Work closely with, and/or coordinate with Commercial Tender Liaison and Country Business Activation to ensure alignment on key accounts Seeds goals.
- Collaborate with pricing and forecasting teams to ensure correct pricing strategy and stock availability.
- Liaise with customer experience and supply chain team to provide delivery updates.
- Liaise with credit control team to ensure account settlement.
- Ensure alignment of strategies with commercial operations and value proposition supporting squads.
- Ensure the completion of channel business plans.
- Have regular check-in meetings to discuss sales progress against business plan targets and develop strategies to support sales growth in line with business plans.
- Ensure distribution agreement terms are adhered to and contracts are up to date.
- Develop strong account plans with each distributor in line with Bayer commercial strategy to ensure long term sales growth.
- Drive Bayer product/program training within distributor sales structure to ensure Bayer products/programs are on top of mind
- Actively drive the channel incentivization program with key accounts (rebate, market funding, etc).

Skills, experience and qualifications:
- Education, skills, experiences: Bachelors Degree in Agriculture or Marketing/Business administration or a relevant agricultural qualification with experience working in agriculture.
- Over 5 years relevant experience in the Agri input Key Account sector
- Business and customer centric minded
- Ability to drive change in complex and stable organization while not being disruptive to the business.
- Ability to collaborate/communicate with and develop internal and external partnerships
- Good Microsoft Office skills (Excel / Power Point / Word) a prerequisite
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Fluent in French and English
