SAP S/4 & BTP Integration Architect

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead technical integration between SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, and Satellite Applications/Systems, ensuring data consistency and interoperability.
• Design, configure, and customize SAP BTP integration services, APIs, and connectors using the full SAP Integration Suite (CPI, API Management, Event Mesh, Cloud Transport Management, CloudALM).
• Develop Integration Strategy & Guidelines and provide technical guidance across project teams.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve integration issues to ensure system stability and reliability.
• Stay current on SAP BTP features and best practices, including SAP's embedded AI capabilities, and leverage AI-powered tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot) to enhance delivery quality and efficiency.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor junior developers, sharing best practices across the team.
• Manage collaboration with external IT Operations suppliers and SAP within the Rise with SAP framework.

WHO YOU ARE

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years of experience in technical SAP integration, with a strong focus on SAP BTP and S/4HANA, ideally in a regulated (GxP) environment.
• In-depth knowledge of SAP BTP services including SAP Integration Suite, Event Mesh, Cloud Transport Management, Mobile Services, and CloudALM, with hands-on configuration experience.
• Strong technical skills and/or certification in SAP BTP, including API Management and event-driven architecture.
• Experience with integration methodologies (ETL, SOA, microservices) and DevOps/Agile practices.
• Comfortable using AI-powered tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, or similar) as part of your daily workflow.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills; experience in international or cross-cultural teams is highly desirable.
• Fluent in English (required). Portuguese is an additional advantage.
