SAP S/4 Basis Engineer |

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSABILITIES:
- Manage and administer SAP S/4HANA Basis components, including system monitoring, performance tuning, job scheduling, output management, and troubleshooting within the Rise with SAP operating model.
- Monitor and support system performance and availability, proactively identifying and addressing issues to ensure a stable and reliable SAP environment in alignment with Rise with SAP service standards.
- Ensure SAP system configurations and operations adhere to internal security policies, compliance requirements, and audit standards, supporting a secure and controlled SAP environment.
- Support the planning and execution of system upgrades, refreshes, patches, migration activities, and system copies while adhering to best practices and minimizing downtime.
- Take ownership of SAP Basis-related incidents and service requests. Actively investigating, troubleshooting, and resolving issues in alignment with ITIL-based service management practices, ensuring timely resolution and adherence to SLA commitments
- Support root cause analysis and problem management for recurring or complex technical issues, contributing to permanent resolution and knowledge documentation.
- Support the continuous improvement of system maintenance and management concepts for SAP S/4HANA.
- Support the definition and implementation of system archiving processes to optimize system performance and storage utilization, including OpenText Archiving & Document Management.
- Collaborate closely with the CORE SAP S/4HANA Program and IT Operations teams to ensure system management aligns with project requirements and release & deployment timelines.
- Collaborate with external IT Operations suppliers and SAP within the Rise with SAP framework.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation, runbooks, and SOPs to support knowledge sharing and operational continuity within the team.
- Stay current on SAP Basis best practices and SAP's embedded AI capabilities, and leverage AI-powered tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot) to enhance delivery quality and efficiency.
WHO YOU ARE:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of experience in SAP Basis administration and system management, with a focus on S/4HANA. Relevant certifications and experience in a regulated (GxP) environment are a plus.
- Solid knowledge of SAP system architecture and administration.
- Experience with SAP Solution Manager, CloudALM, Redwood RunMyJobs, or similar tools.
- Experience with DevOps and Agile methodologies is a plus.
- Comfortable using AI-powered tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, or similar) as part of your daily workflow.
- Takes ownership of assigned tasks and follows through to completion. You don't consider something done until it's verified and communicated.
- Eager to learn and continuously improve. You actively seek feedback, look for better ways of doing things, and grow your skills proactively.
- Understand that your work impacts system stability and business operations, and you take that responsibility seriously.
- When faced with challenges, you ask the right questions, seek solutions, and escalate appropriately rather than letting issues sit.

- Team-oriented and collaborative, comfortable working in international and cross-cultural environments.
- Fluent in English (required).
- Portuguese is an additional advantage.
