Business Expansion Specialist - Quebec 

 

The Business Expansion Specialist will be responsible for digital first outreach to HCPs, developing our off-panel business, strategic on-panel opportunities, and special projects. The successful candidate will drive revenue and growth across Canada for priority brands across different therapeutic areas, by identifying new opportunities and implementing effective customer engagement strategies. You will be working closely with the in-field Customer Engagement teams, and Product teams, and other key stakeholders to ensure successful execution of off-panel, strategic on-panel and other key stakeholders to ensure successful execution of business development initiatives.

Bayer is committed to a flexible hybrid working environment. This successful candidate can be located throughout Canada but the position will require to work in the province of Quebec with French customers.


What you will do: 

  • Working with squads (both product and customer), identify and pursue new business opportunities to increase revenue and market share.
  • Execute an omnichannel strategy aligned with the brand’s core opportunities, considering your customer’s evolution on the adoption ladder with increased personalization based on customer preferences.  Schedule and conduct virtual sales calls with key prescribers/customers. Provide promotional discussions on current product/indications and disease management. This involves executing virtual sales interactions on various videoconferencing platforms including Zoom, MS Teams and Veeva Engage.
  • Follow up with a synchronous outreach (phone, veeva engage) to key customers that engage with our digital (asynchronous) content.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key clients and partners.
  • Refine and manage strategic panel lists that capture high potential customers for key brands/portfolio based on priorities / business needs.
  • Organize, maintain, and monitor territory through account management and CRM tools including Veeva.
  • Liaise with internal partners (product and operations, product squads, market access, medical affairs, patient support) to optimize Customer Experience
  • Support digital content creation and adaptation

 

Main Use Cases:

  • Support consented Off-panel HCPs. Main point of contact for targeted Off-panel campaigns.
  • Main point for follow-up with Off-panel HCPs who engage in our digital content and follow through on Veeva insights and suggestions.
  • Support low-density/lower profitability geographies
  • Support no-see On-panel HCPs, where applicable
  • Complement reach for hard-to-see On-panel HCPs (i.e. less than 25% achievement of MCCP)
  • Cover vacant On-Panel territories
  • Expand Medical coverage (content availability)
  • Support Analytics Translators activities with off-panel and experimentation

 

Who you are: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in sales operations, sales, business development, or a related field. (Experience in the field strongly preferred)
  • Positive and winning attitude
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with clients and partners.
  • Strong Customer Focus
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to analyze data to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute strategic plans.
  • Knowledge of sales processes and strategies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Digital acumen
  • Proficient in Bayer’s digital platforms, Microsoft Office and Veeva.
  • Knowledge of: Sales Force Marketing Cloud, Tableau, eWizard - nice to have
  • Continually seeks feedback from peers to improve business outcomes and able to set and deliver against 90-day and long-term goals to achieve desired impact/outcome
  • Bilingual in French and English
